about improving or adding to our Lay Ministry opportunities. The
goal is that you would work and serve where "your deep joy and the
world's hunger" meet.
Altar Guild
This is a devotional ministry. Women and men
prepare and take down the altar items prior to all services on Sundays
and special occasions.
Buildings and Grounds For men and women who love outdoor work, gardening, or are "handy-people" and enjoy making simple repairs and helping out on the property as needed on a regular basis and for special occasions.
Choir/ Bell Choir Rehearsals weekly for both ministries.
Church Mouse -- providing reasonably priced religious books and gifts, as well as Just Coffee, to St. Andrew's parishioners after services and at some special events.
Christian Formation The Christian Formation committee plans programs, events and study groups at St. Andrew's to help each of us grow in our knowledge of God and the practice of a Christian life.
Coffee Hour Members of the church, women and men, are asked to volunteer to provide snacks for two coffee hours each year after the 10:00 a.m. service.
Counters: Every Sunday, two people count and record the collection for deposit.
Daughters of the King
The Order of Daughters of the King is an international organization of women who have dedicated their lives to prayer and service. The Daughters maintain the congregation's prayer list, and meet regularly for prayer, study, and discussion.
Episcopal Church Women All women of the church are members of E.C.W. Meetings are held once a month or as announced. The women work on many church related projects and fund raisers.
Healing Team The Healing Team is made up of people who are trained to pray for those who feel they need prayer for their various illnesses, or for their friends or family members who are facing illness. Thanksgivings are welcome as well.
Health Ministries A potpourri of opportunities including visiting and assisting with the healthcare needs of the parish.
Lay Assistants at Worship Services Opportunities for ministry at our services include serving as: Ushers , Greeters, Lectors, Chalice Bearers, Acolytes Training for these lay ministries is offered periodically.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors Lay Eucharistic Visitors are those who have been specially trained to carry the Holy Communion to those who are sick or unable to come to regular church services. In doing this ministry, they carry not only the communion, but also, a sense of community to the person to whom they are sent.
Library and Tract Rack The library has a wide variety of books on Christianity and the Episcopal church. The wall rack in the parish hall holds numerous small informative and helpful pamphlets and tracts for free. Volunteer help is needed to manage these resources.
Men's Group We meet weekly to discuss personal, religious, and social issues. Our conversations stay in the room.
Office/Clerical Help
Sometimes special projects (like data
input or mailings) can use extra help in the office. Several
people working together can make light work of large projects! Men
and women welcome.
The un-Committee – Work as Needed
Don’t want to commit? Want to
help out when needed? This is the group for you. Be
available for a call from a committee chairperson or from the office for
special projects—outside and inside. Need men and women.
Sunday School
Our ministry is to provide a safe place where children may grow in the
faith and love of God through the study of scripture and the Episcopal
tradition of our faith.
