The recent growth of the kid population at St. Andrew's this past year has been phenomenal. In response, Glenda Newman, Pat and Barb Maitrejean and Carrie Pottinger have taken on the ministry of Christian formation for the young. In order to maintain momentum, weekly Sunday School will continue throughout the summer.
The younger children are thriving in our Nursery, which now offers child care every Sunday at 10:00.
While the adults are participating in the first part of the 10 a.m. Sunday morning service we are holding our class in the Parish Hall. We return at the time of the Passing of the Peace so that the children may join their families for communion.
This summer the children will learn about some of the saints and also the Lord's Prayer and other responses, plus have some fun. Next fall we will switch to the "All Things New" multicultural children's curriculum.
Another ministry for kids at St. Andrew's is the annual Vacation Bible School, which will be held this year from Monday, June 9 through Friday, June 12.
